(Rome)
My husband and I had been thinking for a few years to have a Vow Renewal.
I had longed so much to have a ceremony in Greece, but after the lockdown I completely changed my mind. I lost two dear relatives in this period and it suddenly become so apparent how important time was to me and the people around me. We were supposed to fly to Santorini in June 2020 but when the Corona virus hit everything came to a stand still. What become apparent was my necessity to continue with life and not abandon time and life full filling things because of the Virus.
I suddenly thought about having a ceremony near the lakes about 30 minutes’ drive from my house. So I set about organising my intimate ceremony of just 6 people.
Michelle was recommended through a friend of a friend. I felt so fortunate to have found somebody so caring, ready to listen and be a shoulder for me to cry on, if was just as if I had known Michelle all my life. She suggested making a remembrance to my lost loved one during our ceremony. Despite, Michelle’s professional approach I felt very at ease with her and there were plenty of moments of laughter. I learnt how to use zoom and whatapp voice messages with Michelle too.
I have to admit that I am quite demanding but Michelle was just very laid back and patient and this helped a lot. Michelle crafted words in both Italian and English, we added songs and she was able to make our guests emotional. It was such an emotional day and I couldn’t have done it without Michelle.
